This grip is made from magnesium using high-pressure die-casting, rather than the usual aluminium, making it 30% lighter whilst being just as strong. It has a chrome-plated and plastic-coated finish, making it suitable for both daggers and épées. The combination of these lightweight components results in a dramatic difference in the weapon’s weight and manoeuvrability.

The weight reduction applies to both the foil and the épée, but by way of example, an épée made from traditional components and a blade weighs 454 g, whereas a weapon made using the Mag-Tec grip weighs just 357 g, representing a reduction of 21%, particularly when combined with other lightweight components. When combined with a lightweight titanium épée point, the weapon’s centre of balance remains unchanged despite the reduction in weight.

This product is based on the world’s most popular pistol grip, also known as the „Visconti” grip.
